1. Gage the adorably frightening baby turned zombie in Pet Sematery :
Miko Hughes...He looks the same!!!
I had no idea how busy this child actor was, nor had I recognized him in anything else. This little one who had us screaming at the screen in 1989 when he ran off from a family picnic and ran out in front of a 18 wheeler...We were heartbroken. Thanks Steven King for the raw, unthinkable, 27month old death scene...probably the first one ever! Anyway, he went on to horrify us days later after his father took him down "that road" even though Herman Munster warned him not to do it! Didn't he remember the cat? Miko has been in many movies including Kindergarten Cop, Mercury Rising, and Apollo 13! Who knew? He also appeared on many t.v. shows including The Nanny and fun facts...he's five foot four inches, still working, and began his acting career at 22 months old. Landing Pet Sematary just five months later!
2. Curly Sue "aka" Alisan Porter. (Yes, just as Pet Sematary isn't Cemetery, Alisan isn't Allyson, Alison, or Allison...You're guess is as good as mine!)
In 1991, Alisan Porter starred opposite Jim Belushi in a strange John Hughes movie about a bachelor who sort of uses this little orphaned girl to get "the girl". They share pop corn and teaches how to be a con-artist. Long story short, she ends up stealing his heart. Or, at least that's how I remember it. Now, as with Miko in Pet Semetary, I was in sixth grade...ok maybe seventh, when this movie came out. A mere four years older than Porter myself...it still doesn't make this next picture any less mind-blowing!
Curly Sue Gets Married! Oh, and PS...She's a Mommy too!
3. The little girl from the remake of Miracle on 34th Street and Mrs. Doubtfire
Mrs. Doubtfire...at this point, I am a freshman in HS and I remember this movie like it was yesterday. Little Natalie, the youngest daughter was played by Mara Wilson. Wilson was also the little girl who believed in Santa Claus even when her own mother urged her against it while Santa was on trial for being, well, Santa. From her big green eyes to her little lisp...Mara Wilson stole the thunder right out from Robin Williams's flaming boobs and Dylan McDermott's scorching good looks!
Here she is in her Holiday Best...You would think she would stay a doll forever...Well...
Let me introduce you to Mara Wilson! Crazy right?
This would be a great moment to warn you this only gets harder from here....
4. The little boy from Jerry MacGuire
At just five years old...Jonathon Lipnicki played the sweet four-eyed blond son of Renee Zellwigger and made such an impression on us all with his smart ways and talent for days! Jonathon has changed a lot during the years and many of you have seen him on shows like Entertainment Tonight and E! News. I assure you, you haven't seen him lately. Would you believe he is a boxer!!!!
Now that's what I call a TRANSFORMATION! Wow!
(By the way, I was a senior in HS when this movie came out so he's still a boy to me;)
Not recent enough for you? I see your Jonathon Lipnicki...and I raise you....
5. Who could forget Vince Vaughn's best buddy in the festive holiday movie Fred Claus!
"Slam"! We are now in 2007 people...2 0 0 7....
The little boy who brought out Fred's jealousy and anger issues causing him to lash out about "there aren't any bad kids!" and allowing Kevin Spacey to serve Santa with his pink slip! (Well, until he got his red superman cape so he could stand up to the kids who made fun of his glasses...that he never got and made him loathe Paul Giamatti ever since. Holiday movies lol...I actually loved everything about this gem...Who didn't love this movie!?!)
"Slam"! aka Bobb'e J. Thompson
Feeling old yet?
6. Hailie Jade Mathers: I'm keeping this one short and sweet because we ALL know how old we are now!
"My Baby Girl keeps getting older, I watch her grow with pride"
Hailie's Song: Eminem
I'm not even going to get into how many Hailie stories and Mama Dramas we've heard over the years. I'll just leave you with this....
The Real Slim Shady just entered into a whole new set of problems. Harry Styles...be very careful...her dad is Marshall Mathers...Remember Stan? That goes for you also Taylor.
Time Really Does Fly By!!!!
